«Three queens of the underground kingdom» - the picture of Victor Vasnetsov. 

In the years 1880-1881 Savva Mamontov commissioned three paintings by Viktor Vasnetsov to cabinet government Donetsk railway. Vasnetsov wrote «Three queens of the underground kingdom», «Flying Carpet» and «Fight of Scythians and Slavs». 

The basic picture is drawn tale. Painting «Three Princess underground kingdom» personifies wealth bowels of Donbass, which slightly ed the plot a fairy tale - the one with a princess of coal. Board members did not take on the fantastic work Vasnetsova topic as inappropriate for the office. 

In 1884, Vasnetsov wrote  this version of the picture, a little change with composition and color. The picture becomes Kievskiy collector and philanthropist I. Tereschenko. 

The new version of the situation has changed hands Princess of coal, and now they lie along the body that gave the figure of serenity and majesty.
