Maesta between Saints Agatha, Augustine, Catherine, Bartholomew, Arl Michael, Mary Magdalene, Anthony of Egypt and and Apollonia'. Saints are painted with theirs attributes: Saint Agatha with her breasts. Saint Anthony of Egypt is also known as Saint Anthony of the Dessert. He was a founder of Christian monasticism. Saint Apollonia with a pair of tongs. Saint Augustine with his books. (Bishop of Hippo, patriarch of Christian Africa, writer ('Confessions'...)). Saint Bartholomew with his skin. He was one of the Apostles. His name means 'son of Talmai'. Bartholomew was often identified with Nathaniel. Saint Catherine with her head on a plate. Saint Mary Magdalene with a bowl. Saint Michael the Arl with a sword.
